overheard on st. philip street

Older tourist Lady: "What a cute dog! What's his name?"
Person with dog: "Boudin."
Older tourist Lady: "Who-dat?"
Person with dog: "Boudin."
Older tourist Lady: "Boo-man?"
Person with dog: "Boudin."
Older tourist Lady: "Bo-dean?"
Person with dog: "Boudin."
Older tourist Lady: "Boo-dan?"
Person with dog: "Close enough."
Older tourist Lady: "What's that mean?"
Person with dog: "It's a kind of sausage, filled with pork and rice."
Older tourist Lady: "I've never hear of that....That's not a good name for a dog, you don't feed him that sausage do you? I am sure that can't be good for him, I mean the rice part is fine, but pork sausage! Sounds a little rich for a dog..."
Person with dog: "Yes, well, enjoy your visit her in New Orleans!"
Older tourist Lady: "Oh we are thanks. How did you know we were from out of town?"
Person with dog: "Lucky guess..."
